Reolink Camera Auto Tracking Settings Overview
Setting | Explanation | Available Options |
Auto Tracking | Enables or disables auto tracking. When enabled, the camera follows detected moving objects. | On/Off |
Tracking Type |
Select the type of objects for the camera to track. RLC-823S Series supports setting a Tracking Priority after selecting object types. |
Person/Vehicle/Animal (varies by model) |
Tracking Method |
Refers to how the camera locks onto and follows a moving object after it is detected. It defines the specific strategy the camera uses for tracking. |
TrackMix Series: Click Introduction to Tracking Methods for TrackMix Series Cameras to learn the difference between tracking methods. Other cameras: |
Horizontal Tracking Range | Sets the horizontal tracking limits. The camera will only track objects within this left-right range. | Adjustable left and right boundary lines. |
Schedule | Defines when the tracking function is active. | 7*24 |
Object Stops |
When an object stops within the tracking area, the camera will remain at the last tracked position for a user-defined duration (ranging from 10 to 60 seconds). This setting determines how long the camera should stay focused after motion has ceased. Example: Set to 20s, the camera will stay at the last tracking position for 20 seconds. After that, it will return back to the monitor point (if any). |
10–60 seconds (10s increments) |
Object Disappears |
If the tracked object leaves the tracking area, the camera will wait for another object to appear. If none is detected within the selected duration, it returns to the default monitoring point (if set). |
10–60 seconds (10s increments) |
