Compared with cameras like Argus 2 or Argus pro, battery-powered cameras with smart detection like Argus 3 Pro share some common functions in motion detection. 

First, you still need to enable the PIR sensor and adjust the PIR sensitivity for motion detection:

Note: There is no longer a PIR Schedule setting for battery-powered cameras with smart detection.

But they do have more functions. With smart detection technology, you could customize the non-detection zone for a person, vehicle, animal or others (the detection type varies with camera models):
