For Reolink Go, Go Plus, Argus 2, and Argus Pro, a rechargeable battery is available.

Working Environment

The battery life of Reolink battery-powered cameras may vary from the settings, environmental conditions, and other factors.

All Reolink battery-powered cameras are IP65 certified weatherproof, and the supported operating temperature -10° to 55° C (14° to 131° F).

Please install the camera in the proper environment to extend its battery life.

As for the battery charge environment, please refer to How Long does it Take to fully charge the batteries for Reolink Battery-Powered cameras.

Replace the Battery

  • Argus 2 and Argus Pro: Push the button to remove the rechargeable battery, then you can replace it with a new battery.

  • Reolink Go/Go Plus: Open the back cover by twisting it a little and then pull out the battery, then you can replace it with a new battery.

Charge the Battery

Reolink Argus 2/Argus Pro has a rechargeable battery that is removable, and there is a micro USB port for charging on the back of the battery. 

The charger is a USB adapter (DC 5V/2A) which is commonly used for smartphones (not included in the box). A micro-USB cable is included in the box.

Here we'll guide you to charge Reolink Argus 2 and Argus Pro by using the following three different methods.

Method 1: Pull out the battery and open the charging port, then connect the battery with the USB adapter via a USB cable and plug it into the electrical outlet.

Method 2: Directly plug the camera into the USB adapter (then into the electrical outlet) for working & charging.

Method 3: Charge the camera with Reolink Solar Panel (needs to be purchased separately).

Note: There is only one battery with each camera, but you can purchase more at reolink.com or Reolink Amazon's official stores.

There is a status LED under the micro USB port of the battery, which indicates the battery charging status.

  • Green LED: Fully charged
  • Orange LED: Charging

Method 1. Charge the Battery Separately

Open the back cover by twisting it a little, then pull out the battery. Connect the battery with the USB adapter via a USB cable and plug it into the electrical outlet.

Method 2. Charge the camera with the battery inserted into the camera.

Find the USB port on the camera and then connect it with the USB adapter via a USB cable and plug it into the electrical outlet.

Note: When charging the camera using an adapter, there is a status LED on the camera which indicates the battery charging status:
  • Green LED: Fully charged
  • Orange LED: Charging
