Reolink RLC-812A is a PoE camera that supports human/vehicle detection, two-way audio etc. functions.

Smart Person and Vehicle Detection

Smart Person or Vehicle Detection is based on traditional motion detection but with advanced algorithms and technology, which can tell people and vehicles from other objects.

You can set this function on the Reolink App or the Reolink Client.

  • On Reolink App

    1. Please open your Reolink App -> Device settings -> Camera Recording.
    2. Please click the"Schedule" button, and please enable/choose the detection type and then choose the time & date for detection.
    3. There are three detection types: " Any Motion"," Person" and " Vehicle". Please enable/ choose either of them or combine two options or all of them together according to your own needs.
    4. Finally please click the "Save" button on the right top of the app to save your settings.

  • On Reolink Client

    1. Please open your Reolink PC client, then go to Device settings > Surveillance >Record, enable Record and click Schedule.camera schedule
    2. On the Record Schedule page, you will see two options: Alarm & Timer. Under the Alarm Schedule, please enable/choose the detection type and then choose the time & date for detection.set schedule small ED
    3. Finally please click the Save button on the bottom of the setting to save your settings.

Spotlight

RLC-812A is equipped with 4 powerful spotlights that keep on at night, making night scenes as vivid as day. You can see more details in full color without worrying about poor lights.
Please note: If you choose "Auto" under "Night Smart Mode", the spotlights will only turn on when there is an alarm event. Since there is no IR light, you need to make sure the additional light source in the environment is bright enough. Otherwise, the camera can't be triggered normally and the spotlights won't turn on automatically.

You can set this function on the Reolink App or the Reolink Client.

  • On Reolink App

    1. Please open your Reolink APP > Device settings > Light.
    2. Please tap Spotlight.
    3. Tap Night Mode to set the spotlight mode.

  • On Reolink Client

    1. Please open your Reolink PC client, then go to Device settings > Device > Light.camera spotlight
    2. Enable Night Smart Mode.

Siren

A camera with an audio alarm or siren can make a loud prolonged sound as a signal or warning when the camera detects motion alarms.

You can set this function on the Reolink App or the Reolink Client.

  • On Reolink App

    1. Launch Reolink App and go to the Device Sett page, then tap on Siren under Notification settings.
    2. Enable Siren. Then click the Custom Alarm Sound option and choose one of the two sound types.

  • On Reolink Client

    1. Please launch Reolink Client and connect the camera, then go to Settings > Surveillance > Siren page. Enable Siren and click Schdule. camera  siren small ED
    2. Turn on the siren option, then choose Motion to select the time girds during which you want the camera to siren when it detects motions.

Two-way Audio

Two-way audio enables you to receive and transmit audio through the IP camera. Reolink cameras that support two-way audio have a built-in speaker and microphone, you could talk through the camera via your Reolink App/Client when you are far away from home.

You could follow the articles below to enable Two-way Audio for your Reolink Cameras:

  • On Reolink App

    1. Log in to your camera and enable Record Audio in the Device Settings page.
    2. Click the speaker icon Speaker to enable audio and then click the Talk button to enter the 2-way audio interface.
    3. TapMicrophoneto talk, and tap the icon again to disable it

  • On Reolink Client

    1. Launch Reolink Client and log in to the camera, then go to Device Settings > Device > Sounds page to enable the Record audio switch.camera record audio
    2. Enable the audio icon at the bottom of the Live View page, then left-click on the Live Liew Page and then click on the Microphone icon. And then click to start talking, the 2-way audio function is enabled and you can talk now. To turn the microphone off, please tap on the icon again.

Time-Lapse
