What Is Reolink License Plate Priority Exposure?

License Plate Priority Exposure automatically adjusts the camera's image exposure to reduce excessive reflections from license plates.

Reflective license plates can produce strong highlights when illuminated by headlights, street lights, or the camera's own infrared light. These reflections may cause the license plate area to become overexposed, making the characters difficult to see.

When License Plate Priority Exposure is enabled, the camera uses an optimized image-processing strategy to reduce the overall image brightness and improve the visibility of the license plate area.

The feature can help maintain clearer license plate images as vehicles enter or leave the scene and as lighting conditions change.

For example, it can be useful when:
