AI Video Search allows you to quickly find videos using simple text descriptions, making video playback smarter and more efficient. Just type what you are looking for, and the system will help locate the relevant footage faster.
Applies to: RLN8-410 (Hardware N7MB01), RLN16-410 (Hardware N6MB01), and RLN36 (Hardware N5MB01).
This article introduces the prerequisites and preparation steps before using the AI Video Search feature on your Reolink NVR.
Preparation: Connect a TV/Monitor to the NVR via HDMI/VGA cable.
1. Update Your NVR Firmware to Version 3.6.5
Before using AI Video Search, please make sure your Reolink NVR is updated to firmware version 3.6.5 or later.
Older firmware versions may not support this feature properly.
2. Connect the NVR to an Internet-Enabled Router
AI Video Search requires an internet connection to download the related feature package.
Please ensure your NVR is connected to a router with stable internet access.
3. Download AI Video Search
1. On this AI Video Search page, click Download.
2. Wait for the download to complete.
Note: During the download process, do not power off the device or perform any other interruption operations. If an unexpected power outage occurs, power the device back on and click Download again.
If you format the hard drive in the future, you will need to download the AI Video Search feature again.
