Scene Mode allows you to quickly enable or disable functions of all your Reolink devices connected to your Home Hub simply by switching the scene mode. This feature makes everything easier and more convenient.

Applies to: Reolink Home Hub Pro, Hub P1, Reolink Home Hub, Hub 1, Reolink Home Hub Mini

1. What is Scene Mode

Scene Mode allows you to easily enable or disable functions for all devices by switching between modes in the Reolink app, including alerts, sirens, recording, PTZ tracking, and more. There are three default modes: Disarmed, Home, and Away. You can customize these modes to suit your preferences.

  • Disarmed: In this scene, all alarm, notification, and recording functions will be disabled. Settings for this scene cannot be edited. It is only recommended when you want to avoid all interruptions from your cameras. Note: In the Disarmed scene, cameras will NOT alarm or record. Please ensure that you do not need these functions before you enable the mode.
  • Home: In this scene, all devices enable recording, while alert notifications and siren triggering are disabled. It's recommended for use when you are at home to minimize disturbances. You can also customize and turn other alarm features on or off as needed.
  • Away: In this scene, all devices enable tracking and alarm notifications, providing comprehensive monitoring. It's recommended when you are away and want to keep everything under control. You can also customize and turn other alarm features on or off as needed.

Note: The alarm features supported may vary slightly depending on the device model.

Additionally, you can create up to six scenes (including the three default ones), five of which allow you to customize settings for individual devices, offering flexible options to meet various needs.

2. How to Set up Scene Mode

2.1 Enable Scene Modes & Set up Alarm Settings under Scene Modes

The Scene Modes feature vary slightly across different Hub models. Select your Hub model below and follow the corresponding instructions to complete the setup.

    3. Important: If the Scene Mode you want to activate requires the alarm function to be enabled, ensure push notifications, siren, recording, PTZ tracking, and other functions on connected devices are enabled and properly configured. Otherwise, the corresponding actions may not trigger as expected.
Example: If you enable a camera’s recording function in the Home scene mode, but it’s not activated in the camera’s settings or the current period is outside its recording schedule, the camera will not record.
