If you encounter issues formatting the HDD via Reolink software, you can format it via PC by following the steps below.
Step 1. Install the HDD into an HDD box/enclosure and connect it to your PC.
Step 2. Open File Explorer by pressing Windows Key + E.
Step 3. Go to Storage > Disk Management to locate the HDD. Then right-click on the HDD to format it.
Step 4. Under File System, select NTFS as the format then click OK.
Step 5. A warning will appear. Read it carefully, then click "OK" to initiate the formatting process.
